Privacy and personal data processing

• The administrator of personal data is the Silesian University of Technology with headquarters at ul. Akademicka 2A, 44-100 Gliwice..
• The Data Protection Officer at the Silesian University of Technology can be contacted via the email address: iod@polsl.pl
• The platforma.polsl.pl website processes users' personal data, in accordance with applicable law, to the extent necessary for the proper operation of the website. The processing of this data is carried out, among others to authenticate the user when logging in to the website.
  
• The use of the Distance Education Platform website by a user who is not an employee, student or doctoral student at the Silesian University of Technology requires his consent to the processing of personal data contained in the registration form.
  
• If the user is under 16 years of age, such consent is given by the legal guardian (parent).
  
• In the absence of consent to the processing of personal data, the use of the website may prove to be limited, difficult or completely impossible.
  
• Employees, students, doctoral students of the Silesian University of Technology log in to the website using the credentials used in the e-mail service in the domain polsl.pl or student.polsl.pl.
• The user has the opportunity to view, evaluate and update their personal data shared for processing, which are stored in the so-called user profile. The user can update their personal data by editing them in the user's profile. For this purpose, he can also contact the server's local administrator or by sending his request via the Helpdesk system, available at: http://platforma.polsl.pl/helpdesk.
  

Consent to the processing of personal data

• Registration of a user profile who is not an employee, PhD student at the Silesian University of Technology on the Distance Education Platform and each time logging in to the Distance Education Platform website means a voluntary, specific, conscious and unambiguous expression of will in which the data subject in the form of a clear confirmation action allows the processing of personal data concerning her to the extent necessary for the proper functioning of the website.

Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data

• The data subject has the right to withdraw his consent to the processing of personal data at any time. For this purpose, it is sufficient to cease actions that confirm this consent each time, i.e. to authenticate in order to log in to the Distance Education Platform website.
  
• In addition, the user has the right to request the removal of their personal data from the Distance Education Platform server by sending their request via the Helpdesk system, available at: http://platforma.polsl.pl/helpdesk.
  
• Withdrawing or not consenting to personal data being processed or deleting this data from the server may prevent future authentication and use of the Distance Education Platform website.
  

Access to personal data

• Access to users' personal data will only have employees of the Silesian University of Technology authorized to process personal data to the extent necessary.
  
• Users' personal data will not be disclosed to other entities, except as provided by law.
  

Period of storage of personal data

• Users' data will be stored for the period necessary (for teaching process).
  

Other information

• Personal data will be processed for registration on the Distance Education Platform of the Silesian University of Technology and participation in the course organized and run by the Silesian University of Technology.
  
• The basis for the processing of personal data is consent, art. 6 clause 1 lit. a) the general regulation on the protection of personal data of 27 April 2016 (GDPR).
  
• The User has the right to request access to the content of his data and the right to: rectify, delete, limit processing, raise objections; if you consent to the processing of data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
  
• The User has the right to lodge a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection when he considers that the processing of personal data violates the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.
• Providing data is voluntary, but necessary for registration on the Distance Education Platform of the Silesian University of Technology.
  
• Shared data will not be profiled.
